Obituaries ask the question, "What would this person like to be remembered for?" An obituary answers this question.
An obituary is a tribute to someone that has died. It shows that they have not lived in vain, and that someone has taken note of what they have achieved during their life.
Obituaries answer the who, how, what, why, when and where questions about someone's life.
History books are full of obituaries of famous people, but ordinary people like you and me deserve an obituary too. Famous battles may be remembered for their generals, but it's the rank and file soldiers who actually did the hand to hand fighting. They deserve obituaries too.
Your Parents, or Grandparents, may not have done anything particularly exciting, but what they did helped shape the world you were born into and helped make you who you are. They deserve an obituary.
